Acer saccharum ‘Seneca Chief’ (Seneca Chief sugar maple), leaves are opposite simple 3-6" long and across 3- to 5-lobed acuminate cordate slightly coarsely toothed with narrow and deep sinuses, variable but generally dark green above glabrous or pubescent and often pale green to gray-green below, petiole is 2-3" long, summer leaf color is usually a medium to dark green, fall color is brilliant yellow or burnt orange or limited red tones
