The Morton Arboretum Plant Records collection includes materials relating to the Arboretum's living collections, recording information such as the receipt of each accession as well as the plant's identity, source, location, and life history of the plant.
The material is arranged into three series by record type: series 1: The Plant Records Card Catalog; series 2: Accession Journals; and series 3: Ledger Maps.
The original card catalog and ledger maps are held by The Morton Arboretum's Collections department. The original accession journals are stored in the Sterling Morton Library.
