Scope and content

The Prairies series is further divided into three sub-series: Cemetery Prairies, Prairie Lists, and General. Included in the Cemetery Prairies sub-series are articles, data, and correspondence related to specific prairies. The Prairie Lists subseries includes lists of prairies in Illinois, Indiana, and elsewhere in North America. The General subseries contains folders relating to individual prairies.

The collection also includes research completed by Dr. Betz as well as articles written by others.
