Past the Big Rock Visitor Station, near Parking Lot 14, early crocus, blue scilla, Spanish bluebells, and yellow narcissus bloom in late March and April in Bulb Meadow. Designed to complement Daffodil Glade on The Morton Arboretum's West Side, the six-acre spring flower display in Bulb Meadow was a product of the 2000 Volunteer Giving Committee who organized the funding and planting of over 80,000 bulbs in November 2001. Over 150 volunteer joined staff in planting the bulbs, and thousands more were planted when the area was expanded in the fall of 2002.
