Arabis hirsuta (L.) Scop. var. glabrata Torr. & A. Gray (mountain rock cress), in view is a single stalk of Arabis hirsuta, situated in a bed of ferns. The slender stalk has alternating leaves sparsely spaced, leading to the plant's end, which sports a small cluster of white florets.
