Letter from Sterling Morton to C. E. Godshalk telling him it is fine for Godshalk to open letters addressed to Morton sent to the Arboretum. If any of them requires a decision, he would like Godshalk to include his opinion along with the correspondence. He describes his drive through the desert on his way to Los Angeles; he experienced snow in the desert during the trip, and he hated Las Vegas. He has looked over Godshalk's letters to Mr. Larson, and he is happy Godshalk has his letter on record if reporters should come after him again. He thanks Godshalk for the information about the planting at Morton's house; Mrs. Zurcher tells him that everything is going well. He shall have a chance to see how things are established before he goes abroad.
