Moluccella laevis L. (Bells-of-Ireland), flowers. Moluccella laevis (Bells of Ireland) has tiny white flowers inside large, showy, cup-shaped, light-green calyces. The calyces are densely packed in a tall spike. Ovate, crenate pale green leaves with prominent veins are alternate along the stem between the calyces.
