Euphorbia polychroma (cushion spurge) is a mounding, clump-forming perennial with with sturdy stems and downy medium green leaves. The cymes of inconspicuous greenish flowers bloom at the end of branches in spring.  Although the flowers, which lack both sepals and petals, are not showy, they are subtended by very showy bright sulphur-yellow bracts.
