Carpinus cordata Blume (heart-leaved hornbeam), image shows yellow leaves in fall and fruit that is starting tp ripen, leaves are large 2.5-5.5" long with bases which are deeply heart-shaped dark green 15-20 vein pairs showing yellow fall color, fruits are borne in cigar-shaped 3-5" long by 1.5" wide catkins, bracts closely overlapping folded and partially covering the nut
