Juniperus virginiana ‘Pyramidiformis’ (Purple Pyramidal eastern red-cedar), leaves are scale-like arranged in 4 ranks closely pressed and overlapping about 1/16" long short- or long-pointed free at the apex often with a small oval glandular depression on the back, pollen strobili (male cones) are staminate yellow-brown
