Quercus robur L. (ENGLISH OAK), leaves are alternate, simple, obovate to obovate-oblong 2-5" long by about half as wide apex rounded auriculate to rounded base 3-7 vein pairs or rounded lobes glabrous dark green to dark almost blue-green above and pale bluish green beneath... key feature earlobe-like leaf base (auriculate), petiole is 1/6 to 1/3" long
