Carya glabra (Mill.) Sweet (pignut hickory), image shows an array of leaves radiating from the stem, leaves are alternate pinnately compound 8-12" long, leaflets (5-7) are 3-6.5" long by 1-2" wide with the terminal leaflet being the largest and the lower pair about 1/3 the size, terminal leaf is obovate, basal ovate-lanceolate, sharply toothed dark yellowish green glabrous above except on midrib and veins beneath
