Carya illinoinensis (Wang.) K. Koch (pecan), image shows a branch with shiny dark green leaves, leaves are alternate pinnately compound 12-20" long, leaflets (9, 11, or up to 17) are 4-7" long by 1-3" wide short-stalked lustrous dark green oblong-lanceolate usually falcate or serrate or doubly serrate gandular and tomentose when young becoming glabrous with age, petiole is glabrous or pubescent
