Carya ovata (Mill.) K. Koch (shagbark hickory), image shows details of a leaflet, leaves are alternate pinnately compound 8-14" long, leaflets (5, rarely 7) are 4-6" long by 0.5-2.5" wide elliptic to oblong-lanceolate acuminate serrate and densely ciliate pubescent and glandular below when young becoming glabrous with age deep yellow-green
