Callicarpa dichotoma ‘Issai’ (Issai purple beautyberry), image shows shrub form with drooping branches, grows 3-4' high with a slightly greater spread, long slender branches arch and touch the ground at their tips, leaves are bright medium green borne in one plane along the stem rather than radiating (like C. japonica), flowers are small pinkish lavender 3/4" dia. cymes borne on stalks above the foliage June to August, fruits are 1/8 to 1/6" diameter lilac-violet berry-like perfectly displayed with foliage acting as a foil
