Hypoxis hirsuta (L.) Coville (yellow star-grass), woodland wildflower, image shows yellow flowers, grass-like perennial arising from a corm, leaves are hairy linear 2-24" long by 0.08-0.4" wide, flower scape is shorter than the leaves and bears 2-6 flowers on long stalks, flowers are 0.4-1.0" wide yellow and have 6 tepals, common in dry open woods and roadsides
