Tilia americana L. (American basswood), flowers are perfect pale yellow 1/2" wide fragrant borne in 5-10 (15) flowered cymes, cymes are 2-3" wide and pendulous mid-late June, bees make the finest honey from these trees. bracts are spatulate 3-4" long
