Abeliophyllum distichum Nakai (white-forsythia), flowers are perfect white or faintly pink 4-petaled 3/8-5/8" across fragrant borne in 0.5-1.5" long axillary racemes in March-April before the leaves, entire inflorescence occurs at ends of shoots and would be classified as a racemose panicle
