Sorbus aucuparia L. (European mountain-ash), fruits are small berry-like pomes 1/4-3/8" dia. orange-red late Aug.- early Sept., very handsome and especially enjoyed by birds, made into an alcoholic drink and also processed into juice and vinegar or made into a tea, leaves are pinnately compound 5-9" long with 9-15 leaflets each 0.75-2.5" long oblong to oblong-lanceolate
