Aesculus hippocastanum ‘Baumannii’ (Baumann’s horse-chestnut), flowers are perfect each having 4 or 5 petals white with a blotch of color at the base which starts yellow and ends reddish borne in 5-12" long by 2-5" wide very showy terminal panicles in early to mid-May, cultivar 'Baumannii' has double white flowers that last longer than species
