Aesculus hippocastanum L. (horse-chestnut), upright-oval to rounded in outline making a very striking specimen especially as the new leaves emerge, size is 50-75' (some over 100') in height with a 40-70' spread, flowers on 5-12" erect panicles are very showy in early to mid-May
