Trillium erectum forma albiflorum ( Trillium - White Erect ), rare woodland wildflower, erect perennial 4-16" tall that arises from a stout rhizome, leaves (3) are green whorled sessile broadly rhombic 3-7" lower, flower is borne above the leaves on a stalk 1-3" long usually facing horizontally and having the odor of a wet dog, petals are widely spreading lance-shaped white 1.0-2.4" long, stamens are no longer than the pistil, ovary is purple-black, blooms in April and May
