Aesculus hippocastanum L. (horse-chestnut), close-up view of a palmate horse-chestnut leaf, with five leaflets. From the midrib veins angle up towards the leaf tip, forming what appear to be pillowed ridges. Brown splotches can be seen near the edges  of the leaflets.
