Letter from Sterling Morton to C. E. Godshalk saying it is hard to account for the death of the Prunus triloba. He doesn't believe the removal of part of its roots or the weed killer had anything to do with its death. He may have to move one of the other ones to fill in the space as replacements are practically impossible to find. He'll try to get out to the Arboretum before he goes out East in mid September. He is interested in the results of the Arboretum's experiments with weed killers. He asks for advice on how to dig and separate clusters of iris to ship to California.
