Letter from C. E. Godshalk to Sterling Morton stating that while he does not know Rev. Daniel W. Kucera of St. Procopius College, he does know Father Richards, so he got in touch with him. According to Father Richards, they don't expect a financial gift in return for the honorary degree. They would like to show their appreciation for his father's cooperation and how well the Arboretum has worked with them. Godshalk says Father Richards seems very sincere, and he recommends Morton accept the degree if it is convenient.
