Description:Letter from C. E. Godshalk to Sterling Morton telling him Godshalk will be on vacation through October 10. Work is almost finished on the settling basin and Lake Marmo, but has taken longer than expected due to weather and issues with the Bird Cartage Company. The columns were set up yesterday. The gate posts are being built, and they are ready to start construction on the control house. The clover-leaf is being blacktopped today, and the parking lot is graveled. Paths from the parking lot are being made. If Morton comes to the Arboretum before Godshalk returns, Tony is available to answer any questions.
