Reports of below zero temperatures all winter with much snow. Men now cutting large dead trees. John Kleppe quit his job once and has now quit again to be groundsman at Wheaton College. Godshalk won't take him back again. Is concerned about crew members joining the Army leaving his staff depleted. Workers treating floors and leather furniture in Arboretum buildings. Mrs. Watts makes beautiful educational charts and is working on models of Chicago's geological areas. Mrs. Jones returns to work full-time next week.
