1958/12/17: E. L. Kammerer to George M. Theurer (3.93956)

Type: Document
Description:Letter from E. L. Kammerer in reply to George M. Theurer's letter regarding Euonymus alatus. Mr. Kammerer writes that Euonymus alata will be a great choice for Mr. Theurer's hedge, with impressive fall color. He recommended spacing the plants 18" apart. Mr. Kammerer also clarifies that while nurseries use "Standardized Plant Names," Arboreta use Alfred Rehder's "Manual of Cultivated Trees and Shrubs," which explains the name difference despite Euonymus alatus and Euonymus alata being the same plant.
