Letter from C. E Godshalk to Joy Morton enclosing a copy of a letter received from A. B. Stout saying there will be a delay in shipping the poplar cuttings due to the satin moth quarantine in Maine. They started moving evergreens at the Arboretum. Since it is cold he is using a small crew; as it gets warmer, he will need to expand the crew. The ice in Lake Marmo is seven inches thick; they will start cutting soon. He asks if Morton has any objection if the Godshalks take their annual holiday vacation. He will have work laid out in advance, and Van Gemert and Kammerer will be available to answer questions.
