Acer miyabei ‘Morton’ (maple – STATE STREET®), upright-oval to rounded small tree growing to 30-40' either open or densely branched, the habit is quite lovely, leaves stay green into October and then turn rapidly to pale yellow and fall soon thereafter, flowers are greenish yellow borne in slender-stalked 10- to 15-flowered pyramidal corymbs in May, fruits have wings horizontally spreading with silky hairy nutlets 0.75-2.0" in length, bark is grayish scaly but in long strips
