Description:Says a Mr. Paul Sandhal (Superintendent of Des Moines Parks) wrote a paper on the Ewing Park Lilac Arboretum. They've used a reference book to identify the lilacs singleness/doubleness and color, but there are 4 species that are not described in the book (S. Chinensis, S. persica, S. villosa, Case's Frilled Pink). He'd like information on them if possible.
Also mentions sending a copy of their 1948 annual report that includes a paper by Mr. A. F. den Boer on North American apple species.
E. L. Kammerer has written in missing information and color for lilacs.
