1961/01/06: C. E. Godshalk to Sterling Morton (3.86093)
Date: January 6 1961Creator: Godshalk, Clarence E.
Type: Document
Description:Letter from C. E. Godshalk to Sterling Morton stating they are moving pines and Douglas fir to their new locations on the settling basin hills. He updates him on the progress being made on installing the cyclone fence. The new entry-way has been installed at Thornhill, replacing the revolving door. They are finishing up the control houses, and Godshalk plans to use them pass out material to visitors. Two men are widening the paths and ensuring the bridges are in repair and will accommodate a Cushman. They will remove the plants that will not fit in the new entrance garden, and he will send Morton sketches of the entrance garden for him to study. Godshalk will soon send the books to Arbor Lodge. Arnie has been working on the apartments, but his best helper is out due to surgery for throat cancer.
